S3100 S300y S300z Data should also include the total number of claims broken down into 5 year age brackets from 0-100+ for each calendar year. Demographic data of the claims including age, ethnicity, gender (and location if available) should be included. Average cost per claim and total cost associated with claims each year from 2014-2024 should also be included and be broken down into the average and total costs for claims within each 5 year age bracket from 0-100+ years old.

There is limited published data assessing neck of femur fracture rates in New Zealand. We aim to publish a scientific paper documenting current rates and project into the future using population data.

This data will allow us to analyse the changes in rate of neck of femur fractures in New Zealand. It will estimate the current costs of neck of femur fracture claims and project into the future those costs to allow for predictions of future healthcare expenditure and planning of service provision.
