This register is the definitive list of approved mandated data standards. Prior to 2021, mandated standards were called data content requirements or DCRs – you might still see this wording for the 3 standards that were mandated before 2021.

The current topics identified by the data system leaders in the Information Group to be mandated standards are:

Description

An address is structured information that allows the unambiguous determination of an object (that may be assigned an address) for the purposes of identification and location. This should be used to format street address for sharing purposes.

Gender and sex

Description

Gender and sex is the gender and sex of a natural person. This should be used when collecting, publishing, or sharing data on gender and sex.

Glossary
