The Government Analytics Network (GAN) was a community of practice for government people working with data.
GAN is not running at the moment.
What GAN did
GAN aimed to grow data analytics capability within government organisations by:
- providing opportunities for learning from others and sharing good practice
- linking people and their work to the broader government data analytics community
- sharing work updates, reports, and conference news
- enabling collaboration through regular focus groups
- advertising vacancies and secondments in its newsletter.
- making changes, eg www.jobs.govt.nz now has a ‘data analytics’ category.
